We took the best of the Sony X3000 LoProMoFo and improved on it based on user feedback from camera fliers all around the world by adding protection for a camera status indicator plug. The result is a sleek, durable housing for this powerful camera, providing full lens and body protection while still providing efficient, EASY access to all screens, i/o ports, microSD card, as well as protection for your status indicator plug from bumps and hits during climbout.
 
Lens Protection Options:
Built-In Lens Protection (standard) - Your Sony X3000 camera lens will be protected from random bumps and hits during climbout, or while camera is inside the housing, by the housing itself. The housing material wraps around lens and protudes just beyond the lens so that it does not appear in your video images.
Sony Lens Protection (not included) - If you intend to use your sony camera in conjunction with the rectangular Sony Lens protector, you will want to choose this option. The housing will have a cut-out near the lens to allow the addition of a Sony Lens Filter. Keep in mind that if you choose to use camera without this lens protector, the camera will remain securely inside housing, however, your lens will be exposed / not protected from hits during climbout, etc.
Round UV Filter (not included) - If you intend to use your sony camera in conjunction with a slip-on round UV filter, such as the ones from RageCams, you will want to choose this option. The housing will have a cut-out near the lens to allow the addition of a slip-on round UV filter. Keep in mind that if you choose to use camera without this lens protector, the camera will remain securely inside housing, however, your lens will be exposed / not protected from hits during climbout, etc.
